Moab V, Utah, 1999

PHOTOGRAPHER: PATRICK JAMES MICHEL As part of its creative process, the photographer Patrick James Michel spends time with the local communities. The connections he builds drive the creation of his photographs. This image was shot in Moab, Utah, in 1999, where he went back many times spent time with ranchers. This image contrasts with the other images he has taken from his time with ranchers as it brings a sense of calm and graze in the intense life of a rancher. With its play on perspective and light, one can feel the quiet control of the man over the horses. Limited edition of 15.
