Intertwined logarithmic spirals both complement and oppose one another. Spirals shown are scale invariant, which mean that their form remains fixed as the image is magnified or viewing distance changes. When this occurs, the spiral arms appear to rotate about their common centerpoint. Small regions within each arm form self-contained fractals independent of the spiral itself, and yet they build the spiral in aggregate. The presence of dense fine structures near the spiral boundaries forms a glowing haze that is so fine it can't easily be resolved. As in life, the dancing, indeterminate, interdependent role of part and whole is apparent throughout.
