Missouri River - Fall Fly Box

Fish the Missouri like you know it — because now you do.   The Missouri River Fall Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Missouri from September through November. Fall brings cooler temperatures, reduced fishing pressure, and big brown trout moving aggressively. BWO hatches in October can be some of the best dry fly fishing of the year.   This box is built around the Missouri's fall hatch calendar — blue-winged olives, mahogany duns, and midges. Every fly was chosen with dry fly fishing during hatches and streamer fishing for big browns in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.   What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering BWO patterns, mahogany duns, large streamers, and midge emergers. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.   Pro tip from the water: October BWO hatches on the Missouri can produce explosive surface feeding. Cloudy, cool days trigger the best activity — don't stay home because of clouds.   Whether you're making your first trip to the Missouri or you fish it every season, this box gives you a proven starting lineup so you can spend more time fishing and less time digging through bins at the fly shop.   Includes a quality waterproof fly box. All flies are hand-tied to Bozeman FlyWorks standards — the same quality we'd put on our own lines.
