How To Fish the Spunk Shad Hover Strolling Combo Hover Strolling is all about finesse, precision, and keeping your bait in front of suspended fish long enough to trigger a strike. Rig It: Thread the Spunk Shad onto the Hover Missile jig head, securing it with the patented toothpick system for a straight, durable presentation. Target Suspended Fish: Use Forward Facing Sonar (or just knowledge of mid-water structure) to cast past the fish and let the bait glide horizontally into their zone. Subtle Stroll: Slowly reel or gently shake your rod tip to keep the bait hovering naturally. The Spunk Shad’s ribbed body and pintail shimmer with even the slightest motion. Hookset: When you feel a tick or see your line jump, set the hook with a smooth but firm lift. The sharp 2/0 hook is built to drive home even on long casts. This combo takes all the guesswork out of rigging for Hover Strolling. Whether you’re brand new to the technique or fine-tuning your sonar game, the Spunk Shad + Hover Missile pairing is proven to put more suspended bass in the boat.
