Miscanthus Gold Breeze

Miscanthus Gold Breeze is a grass cultivar of zebra grass known for its crisp apple-green tapered foliage with accents of broad creamy yellow stripes. Ornamental grasses sway in the background of gardens with the slightest of breezes. Burgundy-red tassels sparkle in the sun from late summer to fall. By winter, the foliage turns beige and is sturdy enough to brighten the winter landscape. This ornamental grass prefers average to moist soil conditions and thrives in full sun. This hardy perennial grass can handle the cold winters along with summer heat and humidity. Clumps slowly expand in circumference by short rhizomes but usually retain a tight shape. Foliage should be left standing throughout the winter for visual interest and to protect the crowns. Cut foliage to the ground in late winter before new shoots appear.
