Minotaur

In Migle Kosinskaite’s work, Minotaur is shown from behind, standing tall and quiet. The figure’s broad back and the dark horns create a powerful silhouette, yet the pose feels calm rather than threatening. The rough texture of the skin adds a sense of age and strength, as if this creature has lived a long and heavy story. Strong horizontal lines cut across the background in gray, white, and red. These simple shapes give the artwork a modern, almost graphic feeling. The bold red at the top adds intensity, while the gray tones below keep the scene grounded and still. At its heart, Minotaur is about strength held in silence. The figure seems alone but steady, caught between myth and something more human. And while the artwork stands on its own, its quiet power connects naturally with the thoughtful and symbolic atmosphere often found in Migle Kosinskaite’s work.
