Minnesota Trapline Lure's

For nearly 40 years, Caven's Lures have been the gold standard among many trappers and are top producers on the most demanding trap lines in the country. Only select, premium and fresh ingredients go into every custom lure, maximizing attracting power. Made in USA.   Caven's Bounty Beaver Trapping Lure The lure to use on summer and fall problem beaver. Also, a great change of pace lure for those spring "Castor Shy" flattail's. No castor in this one, just the choicest beaver food items. Put up in a waterproof base. Heavy liquid form.   Bread and Butter - Muskrat Food & Call Trapping Lure - Caven's Muskrats are truly the “Bread and Butter” of the industry. Year after year they lead the country in total pelts and total dollars generated for the trapper. Is muskrat lure really worth using? Yes! If it’s used properly and it’s the right lure. The muskrat is a lot harder to “Lure” consistently than a fox ever thought about being! Bread and Butter is a blend of several ‘rat  calling agents and has a very piercing odor which is a must in ‘rat lures.     Canine Force - Canine Food and Call Trapping Lure - Caven's Fox and coyote lure used at dirt hole sets. Don’t spill any of this on your hands or you’ll want to cut them off! Works mighty fine during the early season, but really shines later on due to it’s great calling power.     Feline Fix - Bobcat Gland Trapping Lure - Caven's  A good bobcat gland lure will not only collect those high priced cats but fox and coon as well. Feline Fix does it all. This is a very thick lure loaded with expensive bobcat glands for those of you who want that natural cat odor. Many years this ends up being my top fox producing lure.   Caven's Gusto - Long Distance Call Lure - Predator Trapping I spent more time developing this lure than any other. It’s easy to make a call lure with just a “skunky” smell but I wanted much, much more out of this one. When you crack the cap, you will certainly  smell skunk but underneath you will detect a sweet odor consisting of a generous dose of castor and muskrat musk. To top it off, I’ve added a couple more “special agents” and put it up in a thick base so it hangs in there a long time. Use “GUSTO” above your set during warm weather and directly at your set when it starts to cool down. Made for red fox, grey fox, coyotes, bobcats and for you marten and fisher trappers, it doesn’t get any better than this.   A Best Seller!   Caven's Mink Lure - Mink Trapping Lure In plain talk, this one just plain smells like the tail end of a mink. Mink Master gets those big, dominant bucks moving as its odor means there's a trespasser on their turf. Do yourself a favor and use this as a change of pace lure on your fox, coyote, and coon lines.    Best Seller! Caven's Minnesota Grey - Grey Fox Gland Trapping Lure This one is made with the same great care that goes into my red fox gland. A real killer whether used at post or dirt sets as it brings the grays in and makes them feel "comfortable" - until it's too late that is.   Minnesota Red - Red Fox Gland Lure - Caven's      The "fox" comes out of the bottle at you when you open this one. This isn't a bottle of urine with a gland dragged through it, but rather very thick and heavy bodied. Minnesota Red is the real thing for the scent post set but also is a big plus at dirt sets when used with bait, as it removes suspicion as well as attracts.   Caven's Minnesota Special - All Purpose Trapping Lure  Tim Caven's favorite coon pocket and fox flat set lure. We recommend this lure without hesitation for use on all species of fur bearer's in the country. Prime emulsified spring muskrat glands make up the dominant odor with castor and two imported musk's being the underlying or suppressed smell. Minnesota Special is a very thick and long lasting lure that will stay where you put it.   Caven's Moonshine - Raccoon Call and Food Trapping Lure     To get a coon's attention isn't hard as he'll eat or investigate about anything, but to hold that attention until he's in your trap is where you find out what a lure is really worth. Moonshine is a carefully controlled blend of eight coon killing ingredients put together in just the right proportions in a waterproof long-lasting base. You can take coon on your basic one-ingredient lures but to take the most coon at any given time, you need to offer them a variety. Moonshine gives them everything they want.   Caven's Otter Lure Supreme - Otter Call & Food Trapping Lure I'm proud of this one. Not only extremely deadly on otter, but it really puts the hurt on fox, mink, raccoon, and bobcat as well. This seven ingredient lure which is aged and tended to for over 15 months before bottling will certainly fill a bunch of otter boards up for you   Caven's - Timber! - Beaver Castor Lure For this lure I grind only the best, fullest castors I can find, add the loudest, most effective calling agent known to me and put them in a waterproof base. The result is TIMBER!, a beaver lure supreme.   Caven's Tree Climber - Fisher and Marten Trapping Lure      New to the website but certainly not new to the fisher and marten line. A strong, yet sweet blend of natural glands, musk's, and oils. Works excellent for bobcat, fox, coon, and beaver as well. Many years this is my top fox, coyote, bobcat, and coon producer on my southern trap lines.   Caven's Violator 7 - Predator Gland and Call Trapping Lure      A thick, strong, musky lure for Coyote, Fox, Bobcat, Fisher, Marten and Raccoon. Use at either dirt hole or flat sets. A properly balanced blend of weasel, muskrat, mink, and red fox glands plus beaver castor and a touch of skunk.  After aging for a full year it is fixed and stabilized. This is a personal favorite that I’ve used since 1982.  A Best Seller!           (This lure is proudly named for SSG Dale Panchot who was killed serving our country in Balad, Iraq on November 17th, 2003. Son of Arland and Karen Panchot, Dale grew up in a trapping and military family in northern Minnesota. Dale is a true hero and ten percent of the sales of Violator 7 will be used to support our military men and women. - Tim    Caven's Yodel Dog - Coyote Gland Lure A very thick, long-lasting natural gland lure that will really stir up those howlers. Yodel Dog is made from glands aged to perfection and is not only the answer to post sets but really dresses up your dirt hole and flat sets. If you've never tried a coyote smell at a few of your coon sets, now's the time and here's the lure.
