Mini Projectile Launcher and BeeSpi Bundle

The Mini Projectile Launcher projects steel balls at ranges suitable for use on the benchtop or from the bench to the floor. Set any required launch angle from 90° to -45° with the protractor and plumb line. The included adapter is held firmly in place by the existing hardware on the Mini Projectile Launcher and the BeeSpi can be easily removed when not in use. Using the BeeSpi eliminates the hassle of individual photogates with their wires and separate timer and makes initial velocity measurements more feasible for group work. Most projectile motion experiments calculate initial velocity by shooting a projectile vertically and timing the flight. There is no replacement for this method as it brilliantly demonstrates how the component theory of vectors works, but it is prone to error. Measuring initial velocity opens the door for error analysis of the timing method and offers richer data collection for more advanced projectile motion inquiries. Ours vs Theirs OURS NOW INCLUDES - an exclusive, uniquely-engineered metal cup that holds the ball on the plunger for greater accuracy AND consistency. A cable release gives a smooth triggering to prevent jerking. The unit can be fixed to a bench with a clamp (not included) or can stand on its own. Two 16mm steel balls included. Low-cost method for every student to thoroughly investigate projectile motion Projectile range vs. angle Projectile path Conservation of energy Conservation of momentum in two dimensions A real VALUE without sacrificing QUALITY!
