Kristi Nakata (she/her) is a Yonsei (fourth generation) Japanese American fiber artist born and raised in the Seattle area, on Duwamish and Coast Salish land. Kristi creates macraweave wall hangings combining techniques of macrame and weaving. Inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, she creates mountainscapes and abstract interpretations of the colors of our region. ABOUT THIS PRODUCT: This piece depicts a sunset over hills and a creek meandering through. The sunset paints the hills pink, orange, and terracotta. Hang it in your bedroom, living room, reading nook, office, kid’s room, nursery... anywhere! Hand-woven, macraweave Size: 12" wide / 21" L from nail to bottom / 16" L dowel to bottom Made with recycled cotton macrame cord, merino wool roving, yarn, and wooden stick. Care: The macrame will be wrapped and packaged so once it arrives, use your fingers to brush out the string, and use a comb to carefully comb out the fringe. Hairspray works well to keep everything in place. Local, woman-owned. AAPI-owned.
