Your pressed fabric receives heat from the iron and the mat. This increases your pressing efficiency when ironing seams and hems. The result is a very crisp and flat seam or hem. No more puckering, wavy or stretched results. The fabric pieces keep their shape because a wool pressing mat holds the fabric in place better. If you want, you can even pin the pieces to the mat. This mat comes with a handy and sturdy vinyl pouch that you can reuse to store your wool pressing mat. The transparent vinyl bag closes with 2 plastic snaps. This is definitely a great gift for a loved quilting, sewing or embroidery enthusiast! Specifications SIZE: 9 inches x 11 inches;- ½ inch thick MATERIAL: 100% Felted New Zealand Wool REUSABLE BAG: The transparent vinyl bag with snap buttons can be used to store the wool pressing mat or to transport it to a sewing or quilting class.  Instructions & More For detailed user and maintenance instructions of this great ironing mat, visit the Madam Sew Wool Pressing Mat Online Manual.  Note: Steam and moisture may seep through the mat so protect wood or other sensitive surfaces.
