Mini Cooper EMS2 EWS Delete / IMMO OFF Programming Service (2002-2006) This service is designed for Mini Cooper models equipped with Siemens EMS2 Engine Control Modules (ECM), also referred to as the DME or ECU. We will modify your original ECU to disable the factory Electronic Drive Away Protection (EWS) immobilizer, allowing the engine to operate without EWS authorization. This service is commonly used to resolve immobilizer-related no-start conditions caused by a failed or unsynchronized EWS system, or when installing a replacement ECU. No replacement ECU is included—this is a mail-in programming service performed on your original module. Most orders are completed and shipped back the next business day after receipt. What Is Included? ✔ EWS Delete / IMMO OFF programming ✔ Immobilizer disabled within the ECU ✔ Plug-and-play ECU setup for supported applications ✔ Fast turnaround time Common Reasons for an EWS Delete Our Mini Cooper EMS2 EWS Delete service is commonly used when: The EWS module has failed. The DME and EWS module are no longer synchronized. The vehicle starts and immediately stalls due to an immobilizer issue. A replacement ECU is being installed. Immobilizer-related communication faults are preventing the engine from starting. By removing the immobilizer check from the ECU, the engine no longer requires authorization from the factory EWS system to start.
