Mind in Pieces Print

This Alzheimer’s piece was a passion project, as my dad was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s a few years ago. To make this piece, I cut up my old watercolor paintings and made a mosaic of a top-down view of the brain. I poured a layer of epoxy on it, then repeated the process two more times to create a 3D effect. I wanted to create a piece that showed the beautiful mind of a person, and their memories and thoughts as they are changed through Alzheimer's.
