Mind Games - J'Adoube

J'adoube by Mind Games is a fragrance for women and men. J'adoube was launched in 2022. The nose behind this fragrance is Nathalie Benareau. Top notes are Red Currant and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Pomegranate and Damask Rose; base notes are Patchouli, Leather, Benzoin and Amber. J’adoube begins with a whisper of warning. An intriguing sensation engulfs us in an opening of pomegranate, rouge groseille, and mandarin, as the fragrance surges forward in a wave of tantalizing sweetness. Its evolution towards a bold and deep base of leather, patchouli, and ambrostar brings focus to chaos while remaining wholly spontaneous and free. J’adoube begins with a whisper of warning. I move, it hints, yet I remain the same. J’adoube. I adjust. I reposition, I recalculate, I reconsider. The fragrance takes the time to acquaint us with our own inhibitions, unafraid to explore our darkness, and distracts us from the notion that we are fixed in a moment or place in time. An intriguing sensation engulfs us in an opening of pomegranate, rouge groseille, and mandarin, as the fragrance surges forward in a wave of tantalizing sweetness. J’adoube develops and expands into an intense experience, realizing the excitement found in the anticipation of a new love, a raw and singular beginning. Its evolution towards a bold and deep base of leather, patchouli, and ambrostar, bring focus to chaos, grounding the scent in a disciplined declaration of intent while remaining wholly spontaneous and free. J’adoube represents this juxtaposition of abandon and control moving between notes seamlessly, in a fragrance that is equally dramatic as compelling. "In chess, players say 'j'adoube' if they want to adjust the position of a piece, but not move it. I wanted to nod the history of this term with the incorporation of pomegranate, a juicy, precise fruity note that adds an element of excitement. The bold black suede accord gives the fragrance strength and a firm foundation, very much like the rook’s role in the game." - Nathalie Benareau, Perfumer.
