Vivianite (doubly terminated) on matrix

A showy and aesthetic miniature display specimen featuring a handful of sharp, well-formed, rather gemmy, higly lustrous crystals of Vivianite elegantly set atop red argillaceous sandstone matrix. Only a smaller percentage of Vivianite specimens from this locality are found on matrix, and very few host multiple crystals like this one. The main crystal is doubly terminated with a beautiful internal color and near WATER CLEAR transparency. No damage to the display side, but it is slightly incomplete on the back where it was removed from the pocket wall. Specimen #VIVBOL81809
