Mimosas & Marlins

"Mimosas & Marlins" This piece is heavy on the collage! A year or so ago I painted some small pictures of Cyndi Lauper. Bits of those are in there. As are other paintings, mesh, and the backs of envelopes. Mixed media for sure! Blues and purples surround a setting sun and peaceful sailboats? Can you spot the marlin? Happy accident that only collage could create. 9"x12" mixed media collage and acrylic on high quality, 140 lb, watercolor paper. Finished with satin varnish. Collage pieces may fade over time (as is the case with all mixed media artwork), but varnish will help prolong its life. Matted painting includes a white mat that finishes this work at 12"x16". This is a standard-ish frame size so that you can easily frame this piece upon receipt. Your painting will sail within two business days. Can you order your painting without a mat? Absolutely! Maybe you want a different color or mat size. However, it IS important to mat your painting before it hits the frame glass. The mat gives your painting a little breathing room; without it, the paint will eventually stick to the glass.
