Milwaukee Rockstar Blend

Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. has been a Milwaukee institution since 1999, and their Rockstar Blend embodies the city's bold, no-nonsense character. This South American blend leans confidently into dark roast territory, delivering the rich intensity that espresso lovers and cold brew devotees crave. It's coffee for people who like their cup robust, smoky, and unapologetically full-flavored. Tasting NotesExpect deep chocolate fudge on the front, softening into graham cracker sweetness mid-palate, with toasted almond rounding out the finish. The body is substantial—this coffee has weight and presence in the cup. Acidity stays low and gentle, letting those caramelized sugar notes and roasted flavors take center stage. There's a pleasant smokiness threaded throughout, never bitter, just dark and sultry. The finish lingers with warm baking spice undertones. Brew MethodsRockstar Blend excels as espresso, where its full body creates luxurious crema and stands up beautifully to milk in cappuccinos and lattes. It also shines in French press, where the immersion method emphasizes its round, chocolatey character. For drip or pour over, use a slightly coarser grind to balance extraction—you want richness without bitterness. This coffee makes exceptional cold brew, yielding smooth, naturally sweet concentrate with minimal acidity. Avoid ultra-fine grinds in espresso unless you want intense, almost chewy shots; most home baristas will find best results with a standard espresso grind on the coarser side.
