MILD THING

80-90 days. Mild Thing, the latest of Oregon State University's exciting new introductions, brings a touch of the tropics to any dish. Lacking the intense heat of traditional habanero varieties, the fruity notes of this mild cultivar truly shine with an added smokiness. The blocky peppers have dark green fruit that ripen from orange to red and have a slightly more pungent flavor than your standard habanero, with a 500-1000 rating on the Scoville scale. Developed for the Pacific Northwest, these plants are optimized for an ideal fruit yield and faster maturity. Perfect for bringing warmth to cold nights, thriving in continental climates and high elevations where the short growing season can make habaneros difficult to cultivate.
