Midwinter Fire Dogwood

Midwinter Fire Dogwood Cornus sanguinea 'Midwinter Fire' While most plants are hunkered down in the winter and looking non-descript, 'Midwinter Fire' is alive with color and ready to put on an unforgettable winter show. The color is all in the stems and what color it is with bright red showing at the base of the stem changing to yellow as you move up the stem, only to be topped by orange at the very end! While not as colorful in the summer, wildlife loves this plant for its white flowers, its fruit, and the great cover it provides. You'll love it year round because it's so easy to grow, perfect in groupings, tolerant of most sunny sites, and it even puts on a bright yellow fall foliage show that is hard to beat.
