MID49 EVF Cable & XLR Handle Riser for Sony FX5

The MID49 EVF Cable & XLR Handle Riser for Sony FX5 expands the capabilities of the Sony FX5 Cinema Camera by allowing filmmakers to use the Sony XLR-H2 or XLR-H1 Handle Unit and the Sony DVF-EL1 Electronic Viewfinder simultaneously. Designed for professional cinema workflows, this multifunction accessory enhances camera ergonomics, accessory compatibility, and viewfinder positioning for more efficient operation both on set and in the field. Engineered with the same footprint as the Sony XLR-H2, the handle riser maintains compatibility with many third-party camera cages while providing secure mounting and full signal passthrough. It attaches to the XLR handle using an integrated hot shoe and multiple 1/4"-20 threaded mounting points, creating a stable platform for professional camera builds without compromising access to essential controls. An integrated 18-inch EVF extension cable and proprietary mounting adapter connect the DVF-EL1 Electronic Viewfinder directly to the FX5, allowing the viewfinder to be positioned more comfortably for handheld, shoulder-mounted, tripod, or studio operation. The adapter also incorporates an anti-twist 1/4"-20 mounting thread and a mini 15mm rod, providing flexible options for integrating the EVF into a wide range of professional rig configurations. Combining expanded functionality, secure mounting, and enhanced ergonomics, the MID49 EVF Cable & XLR Handle Riser is an essential accessory for filmmakers looking to maximize the performance and versatility of their Sony FX5 setup.
