Joanne, Mid-Century Abstract Painting

A mid century geometric abstract built from interlocking bars of red, mustard yellow and deep teal over a near-black ground. The paint is heavy and scumbled, worked with a knife in places so the canvas weave shows through, and every block carries flecks of the colors around it. Signed "Joanne" on the back. Set in a simple narrow wood frame. Condition The heavy paint is solid, with no flaking or loss. The wood frame has a few minor handling marks. Dimensions: 31"L x 25"H
