If you are installing mailbox in area with direct contact to the elements we would recommend adding our rain guard feature (clear acrylic plate that is installed behind three front slots, blocking moisture from entering front of mailbox). Installation hardware is included. Based on dimensions from modern wall mounted mailboxes from the 1950s and 1960s, our true-to-era aluminum mailboxes are 14.25" long x 6" high x 4" deep. There are two holes on back of mailbox (11.25" apart) that allow you to easily hang mailbox on screws that would be inserted into your home's exterior (extremely easy to install and we provide stainless steel screws and anchors).  Modern Mailbox also offers a vertical wall mounted version for those searching for a larger, period correct contemporary mailbox.
