Microtec Foam Cover Pad

Protect delicate garments and achieve flawless heat transfer results on complex surfaces with the Microtec Foam Cover Pad. Specifically engineered to tackle challenging decoration projects—including raised emblems, embroidered patches, heavy seams, and thick heat transfer materials—this heat-resistant foam pad provides superior pressure distribution and surface protection during pressing cycles. When pressing items with variable thickness, standard hard platens can cause uneven pressure, resulting in incomplete transfer adhesion or unsightly scorch marks on surrounding fabric. The Microtec Foam Cover Pad acts as a forgiving cushion, sinking into raised details while distributing heat and pressure evenly across the entire transfer area. Available in both small-format (4" x 8") for targeted logo placements and full-bed (16" x 20") sizes for full-garment protection, these pads are a must-have accessory for print shops, custom embroidery houses, and garment decorators across North America. Key Features & Benefits Even Pressure Distribution: Absorbs surface height differences from thick patches, zippers, buttons, and heavy seams to ensure uniform adhesion. Garment Scorching Protection: Shields sensitive polyester and blended fabrics from direct intense metal platen heat, drastically reducing shiny marks and burn risks. Targeted & Full-Bed Sizing Options: Choose small pads for precise crest and pocket placements, or full-size pads to cover standard 16" x 20" lower platens. Variable Thickness Selection: Available in 1/8" and 1/4" thickness options to match thin transfer materials or heavy-duty embroidered emblems. Universal Press Compatibility: Works seamlessly with all standard clamshell, swing-away, and pneumatic heat presses. Available Sizes & Thicknesses 4" x 8" x 1/8": Ideal for small logos, chest crests, sleeve details, and thin emblems. 4" x 8" x 1/4": Extra cushion depth for thick embroidered patches, leatherette tags, and heavy hardware. 16" x 20" x 1/8": Covers full platen surfaces for complete garment protection during large-format transfers. Ideal Applications Raised Emblems & Leather Patches: Secure heavy patch edges without crushing surrounding fabric. Polo Shirts, Jackets & Zippered Hoodies: Level out surfaces near buttons, seams, and metal zippers. Heat-Sensitive & Synthetic Fabrics: Prevent heat shine on 100% polyester athletic wear, nylon, and performance apparel.
