This set is designed for a wide range of U.S. Navy vessels, including WWII destroyers, cruisers, battleships, aircraft carriers, submarines, and modern surface combatants. Q: What is Haze Gray? Deck Blue (#29493): Applied to steel decks to reduce glare and visibility from the air. Q: Why is Hull Red important? Hull Red (#29492) represents the anti-fouling coating below the waterline, protecting ships from barnacles and algae growth. Q: Can this set be used for submarines? Yes. Submarines often used Black, Dark Sea Gray, or Haze Gray above the waterline with Hull Red below. Q: Is Deck Tan for modern ships too?
