Micro-Mark Stealth Black Paint, 20ml

Signature finish for early stealth aircraft like the F-117 Nighthawk Ultra-matte black tone designed to absorb light and radar energy Ideal for modeling radar-absorbent coatings and low-observable surfaces Pairs well with Radar Absorbing Dark Gray for panel variation Made in the USA Description Stealth Black is a deep, non-reflective black designed to replicate the iconic coating used on early stealth aircraft. Most notably featured on the F-117 Nighthawk and various classified black projects, this tone mimics radar-absorbent surfaces developed in the 1980s. With a completely flat finish, Stealth Black is essential for modern-era or near-future modeling projects where low observability is a key feature. Stealth Black is in our sets 29479 USAF 1950-Modern Sky Camo Acrylic Paint Set, 9pc 29503 US Military Acrylic Paint Set, 81pc   Color Description Stealth Black is a rich, ultra-flat black that eliminates gloss or shine. It mimics the radar-absorbent material (RAM) coatings used on early stealth aircraft and other low-visibility platforms. In model building, it creates bold, shadowed surfaces and contrasts perfectly with panel shading, wear, and weathering techniques. This is not just any black—it’s a tactical, purpose-driven finish. This color was most famously used in Cold War stealth aviation: • Dominant exterior color of the F-117 Nighthawk, B-2 Stealth Bomber, and the SR71 Blackbird during its operational life • Also associated with classified "black project" aircraft and stealth drones • Used in concept aircraft, stealth helicopters, and experimental UAVs Modeling Uses • Paint F-117s and classified stealth aircraft with historically accurate tone • Combine with Radar Absorbing Dark Gray or Gunmetal for panel variation • Excellent base for sci-fi vehicles, night ops units, and stealth-themed mechs
