Micro-Mark Interior Green Paint, 20ml

Standard cockpit and crew area color for U.S. military aircraft during WWII Ideal for painting instrument panels, cockpit walls, seats, and interior framing Flat, olive-green tone with yellow undertones for authentic detail Pairs well with Zinc Chromate, Aluminum, and Flat Black for layered realism Made in the USA   Description Interior Green is a historically accurate color based on U.S. military specifications for cockpit and interior spaces from the late 1930s through the 1950s. This flat, yellow-olive hue was adopted to reduce cockpit glare, protect metal surfaces, and create a consistent interior finish. It is a must-have for aircraft modelers aiming to replicate the look and feel of American fighters and bombers used in World War II. It was applied over Zinc Chromate primer in crew compartments, cockpit enclosures, turret interiors, and some wheel wells. The tone provides a good balance of realism and subtle contrast against metallic and black detailing commonly found inside aircraft. This color was widely used in U.S. aircraft design from WWII through the early Cold War: • Common in the cockpits of P-51 Mustangs, B-17 Flying Fortresses, B-24 Liberators, and P-47 Thunderbolts • Used in flight engineer stations, navigation compartments, and bombardier positions • Continued in use into the early jet age before being phased out by gray-green and black interiors Modeling Uses • Paint WWII cockpit interiors, instrument panels, and flight control surfaces • Add detail to internal bulkheads, seats, and crew ladders • Use with Zinc Chromate for authentic primer layering and edge chipping effects • Combine with Flat Black and Silver for weathered, realistic control panels
