In model applications, it provides a muted yet clean finish that responds well to panel lining, weathering, and detail washes. This color has been widely used since the late 1970s: • Common in air superiority and maritime camouflage on jets such as the F-14 Tomcat, F-16 Falcon, and F/A-18 Hornet • Seen on U.S. Air Force, Navy, and NATO aircraft throughout the Gulf War, Iraq War, and beyond • Remains a key tone in modern low-visibility tactical paint schemes Modeling Uses • Paint modern U.S. and NATO aircraft with accurate low-vis camouflage • Use as a base for panel line shading, oil washing, or weathering effects • Ideal for recreating aircraft in the post-Vietnam to present-day era
