It provides excellent coverage and realism when applied as the darkest tone in a three-color camo scheme. The flat finish eliminates reflection and helps visually break up outlines when combined with other standard camo colors like brown and black. This color has been widely used from Vietnam to the present: • Common on M60 tanks, M113 APCs, Huey helicopters, and soft transport vehicles • Found in MERDC and woodland camouflage patterns across U.S. and NATO forces • Also used in tents, field gear, and modular fortifications in dioramas Modeling Uses • Paint vehicles and equipment operating in temperate, jungle, or forested terrain • Combine with Medium Camo Brown and Flat Black for standard woodland camo • Great for layering and drybrushing over textured surfaces • Use on infantry bases, ground cover, and camo netting for immersive realism
