It’s perfect for families who want the benefits of a pollinator-friendly lawn while minimizing visible bee activity near the surface. This makes an excellent, climate-friendly gift for any occasion – from holidays and birthdays to housewarmings – ideal for eco-conscious families and busy homeowners. Features: Easy Spread Shaker Application: Simple to use, just open and shake! Our convenient shaker ensures effortless, even distribution of Non-GMO Organic Coated Micro Clover Seeds perfectly blended with organic compost and soil builders. Unique Low-Sting Micro Clover: Stays small and doesn't flower as much as Dutch White Clover, significantly reducing visible bee traffic directly on the lawn surface. This makes it a great option for kid and pet friendly spaces. Fixes atmospheric nitrogen into the ground, drastically reducing the need for synthetic fertilizers once established. Has above-ground roots (runners/stolons) that naturally choke out weeds like dandelions over time as it fills in. Designed for Resilience: Thrives in Full Sun to Shade, grows better in shade than traditional grass, and tolerates foot traffic and pets exceptionally well. It's Deer Resistant, Drought Tolerant, and acts as a Perennial in USDA Zones 3-9. Low Maintenance Champion: Leads to significantly less mowing and watering. Once your flowering lawn is established, it requires much less watering, typically only during extended dry periods, and no fertilizer needed! Tested and Trusted: Developed and perfected over six years through successful transformations with our Organic Lawn Care partnership, ensuring reliable results. Doing More Good: Sales proceeds actively support our "Share the Seed" program, which educates youth and supports pollinators with vital community seeding projects. Benefits: Experience the freedom of a vibrant, healthy lawn with minimal effort! The Micro Clover Easy Spread Shaker saves you significant time, money, and resources by reducing mowing, watering, and eliminating the need for harsh chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Feel proud knowing you're reducing your carbon footprint as this climate-friendly lawn actively captures and stores more carbon. This kit empowers you to create a resilient, safe, and beautiful space that supports local biodiversity, all while contributing to a net-zero lifestyle. Kit Contents: Each Easy Spread Shaker contains: Non-GMO Organic Coated Micro Clover Seeds Organic Compost Soil Builders What To Expect When Using Flawn Seed: With regular watering, seeds will start to germinate in 1-2 weeks when soils are at least 50-60 degrees, and plants will be small for the first couple of months. After the first growing season, your "Flawn" will establish and show its low-flowering characteristics. Watering regularly after seeding and through dry periods is critical for success. Mature flowering lawns with many blooms can take up to 6-24 months to fully establish, especially in thicker grass lawns that have been heavily fertilized in the past. How to Seed Your Flawn: Prepare: Mow your existing grass to 0.5" and lightly rake to loosen the soil. Spread: Simply spread the Micro Clover evenly over the prepared area using the shaker. Water: Water lightly but frequently after seeding, ensuring soil and seedlings don't dry out. Seeding Timing: Can be seeded in spring, late summer, or early fall. For dormant seeding, spread over fresh snow on a calm day when the ground is frozen. If seeding in spring, wait until the ground thaws and soil temperatures are around 55 degrees. Avoid seeding before hot and dry periods to keep soil from completely drying out during germination. Bare Soil Areas: Our Flawn Seed is designed to be over-seeded into existing grass to create about half grass and half clover. If you are starting with bare soil, you can add 2-4 lbs of fine fescue grass seed per 1,000 sq ft, or increase your seeding rates if you desire a pure clover lawn. Maintaining Your Flawn: Mowing: Mow at 2-3 inches for the first year. Once established, you can choose your desired look: mowing higher and less often will promote more flowers (though still less than Dutch White Clover) and have a more wild look. Mowing shorter and more often will have a more traditional lawn look with little to no flowers. No Pesticides: Do not use pesticide weed or insect killers. Hand-weed if necessary or desired. Fertilizer: No fertilizer is needed once Micro Clover is established. Watering: Once established, it requires much less watering, typically only during extended dry periods.
