Michael Malul Citizen Jack Alpine

Citizen Jack Alpine is Michael Malul's newest addition to the popular Citizen Jack collection, launched in 2025 and created by perfumer Roger Howell. Described as a "fresh aromatic woody fragrance," it blends clean citrus and melon with aromatic herbs and a warm woody base. The opening brings melon and bergamot — a crisp, invigorating burst that feels bright and contemporary without going synthetic or cloying. The heart unfolds with jasmine, lavender, and sage — an aromatic herbal accord with subtle floral depth that gives Alpine a refined, fresh character. Some wearers note a distinct minty-green quality in the opening that adds to the alpine freshness. The base settles into sandalwood, patchouli, and amber — warm, woody, and slightly earthy without going heavy. As an Eau de Parfum, expect 6 to 8 hours longevity on skin with moderate, skin-close projection in the dry-down. Community comparisons most frequently land on Citizen Jack Absolute and Acqua Di Gio Essenza — Alpine shares the melon-citrus DNA of Absolute but leans greener and more aromatic, while the herbal-woody character echoes the fresh minerality of Essenza. If you're looking for a versatile, easy-wearing aromatic woody that works across seasons without being loud or polarizing, Alpine is an excellent option to sample.
