Michael Malul Berry Blanche

Berry Blanche is a fruity-aromatic-woody fragrance launched in 2023 and created by Ugo Charron — described by Michael Malul as having "intriguing, mysterious opening notes" that evoke a forest glade in spring. Marketed as an eau de parfum for women, though the eclectic combination of green components, musk, and resin gives this fragrance good unisex appeal. The opening is genuinely tart and aromatic — wild strawberry, pepper, cypress, and angelica arrive together with a fizzy and bright combination that feels fresh and unconventional rather than jammy or sweet. In the heart, you'll notice strawberry, freesia, lavender, clove, and orange blossom — a luminous element with freesia and orange blossom while also enriching the aroma with herbaceous lavender and warm clove. The strawberry carries through without ever going gourmand. The base features musk, Peru balsam, immortelle, lorenox, and orcanox — two lab-made perfume ingredients that smell woody, musky, and resinous. The lifespan is good for a light and ethereal fruity fragrance — you'll smell the aroma on your skin for six to eight hours, with moderate to major projection and good lasting power. Community comparisons most frequently land on Givenchy Hot Couture and Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Intense — Berry Blanche sits between them with more herbal-woody depth than Daisy and fruitier brightness than Hot Couture. Reviewers describe it as "cute and feminine — a light strawberry with hints of lavender, greenery, and musk" that doesn't duplicate anything else in most collections. If you love fruity-florals with an unconventional green-aromatic twist, this is one of the most interesting in its class to sample.
