MicaSense Altum-PT

MicaSense Altum-PT: Advanced Multispectral Imaging Solution The MicaSense Altum-PT's synchronized multispectral and thermal bands and pan-sharpened multispectral outputs provide twice the level of spatial resolution in multispectral and thermal data compared to the original Altum. The Altum-PT's improved resolution and capability makes it ideal for intensive research and high-value crop management in production agriculture, from plant scientists seeking leaf-level information in their phenotyping efforts to farmers looking for optimal irrigation practices in the face of worldwide climate change. Why Choose the MicaSense Altum-PT? High-Resolution Multispectral and Thermal Imaging: The Altum-PT integrates a 12MP panchromatic sensor along with a 320x256 FLIR Boson® radiometric thermal sensor, enabling enhanced resolution across both multispectral and thermal spectrums. This configuration allows for detailed observation of crop health and environmental conditions. Integrated Sensor Technology: Equipped with five discrete spectral bands, the Altum-PT captures a wide array of data types in a single flight, including RGB color imagery, crop vigor maps, thermal heat maps, and high-resolution panchromatic images. This multi-faceted approach provides a comprehensive view of the observed area, facilitating a deeper understanding of the land and crops. Rapid Data Processing and Capture: Features a global shutter that prevents motion blur and distortion, ensuring clear, consistent imagery even at high speeds or on unstable platforms. The inclusion of CFexpress storage allows for rapid data capture at two frames per second, enhancing field efficiency and reducing time spent in data collection. Advanced Analytical Capabilities: The system’s high resolution opens up new possibilities for detailed analytics, such as identifying plant disease, assessing water distribution efficiency, or monitoring crop maturation at a granular level. This allows for precise, data-driven decision making in crop management and research. Flexible Integration and Compatibility: Altum-PT supports various integration options with different platforms through ethernet, serial, and PWM/GPIO trigger connections. This flexibility ensures that it can be seamlessly incorporated into a variety of remote sensing operations, whether on traditional aircraft or modern drones. User-Centric Design: Designed with the end-user in mind, the Altum-PT features removable CFexpress storage for easy data transfer and management. It also offers multiple APIs to support diverse processing platforms, enhancing usability across different systems and applications. Advancing Ag Technology with MicaSense Altum-PT  Optimized Crop Management: Utilize detailed thermal and multispectral imaging to enhance irrigation practices, detect early signs of plant stress or disease, and effectively manage high-value crops. Efficient Data Collection for Phenotyping: Quickly gather extensive data on plant characteristics under varying conditions, streamlining the phenotyping process and enabling faster response to environmental changes. Accurate Yield Predictions: Employ advanced imaging techniques to more accurately predict fruit yields, reducing reliance on labor-intensive traditional methods. Effective Water Management: Monitor and manage irrigation systems with precision, using thermal imagery to detect leaks and inefficiencies, ensuring optimal water use. Early Disease and Stress Detection: Detect signs of disease, pest infestation, or nutrient deficiencies before they become visible to the naked eye, allowing for timely interventions and treatments.
