When I first showed this embroidery to my friend Cara she got Miami vibes from it so the name stuck. I visited Miami a few years ago and went on an architecture tour and was so inspired by all the lines and the pastel colours - when sketching this embroidery I tried to bring in some of these elements and give it a bit of movement - it also reminds me of a shellsuit I had as a child... maybe that's not such a great thing...
