MiniArt 1/48 Marston Mat Landing Strip w/Barrels

MiniArt 1/48 Marston Mat Landing Strip with Barrels is a highly detailed diorama accessory set designed to recreate the iconic temporary airfields used extensively during World War II. Marston Mat, also known as pierced steel planking (PSP), was widely deployed in the Pacific and European theaters to quickly construct durable runways in challenging terrain. This kit includes realistically molded Marston Mat sections with accurate perforation detail, allowing you to create an authentic forward airstrip display for your 1/48 scale aircraft. The set also features detailed fuel barrels to enhance the operational feel of your scene, perfect for staging refueling, maintenance, or frontline airbase activity. The components feature crisp molding and realistic surface texture, making them easy to paint and weather for a worn, combat-used appearance. The modular mat sections can be arranged to suit your layout, whether you’re building a small display base or incorporating it into a larger diorama. An excellent addition for modelers building WWII aircraft such as P-47s, P-51s, or other Allied fighters, this set brings realism and context to any 1/48 scale airfield scene.
