MiniArt 1/48 P-47M THUNDERBOLT. DORSAL FIN. BASIC KIT - 48060

Bring one of the fastest and most distinctive late-war Thunderbolts to your bench with this 1/48 scale P-47M from MiniArt. The dorsal fin variant represents the high-performance interceptor used by the legendary 56th Fighter Group, combining brute power with iconic late-war paint schemes. This “Basic Kit” version delivers excellent detail in a more streamlined build, making it accessible while still offering plenty of scope for advanced finishing and weathering. The kit features accurate shapes and finely engraved surface detail, capturing the aggressive look of the P-47M with its distinctive dorsal fin configuration. The cockpit and engine are well-detailed straight from the box, with the Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine able to be displayed with cowlings open or closed. Multiple external stores and configuration options allow you to customize your build, while high-quality decals provide markings for two aircraft from the famous 56th Fighter Group. As part of MiniArt’s newer 1/48 aircraft lineup, this kit combines modern tooling with thoughtful engineering, giving you a solid balance between detail and buildability. The “Basic Kit” format omits extras like photo-etch, keeping the focus on a clean, enjoyable build while still delivering strong out-of-the-box results. Kit includes plastic parts and decals, supplied unpainted and unassembled. Paint and glue are required and sold separately. Ideal for intermediate modelers or anyone looking to build a striking late-war USAAF fighter without the complexity of a full multimedia kit.
