Mia Flat Circle Studs

The Mia Flat Circle Studs are the kind of earrings you put on and forget you're wearing -- a clean gold disc with a polished, barely-there presence that catches light without asking for attention. That's the whole point: subtle enough to wear every day, refined enough to mean something. Hand-finished in small batches from recycled 14k gold fill in Sheena Marshall's Denver studio. Gold fill is not plating -- it's a thick layer of solid gold heat-bonded to a brass core, regulated to contain a minimum of 5% gold by weight, and significantly more durable and tarnish-resistant than standard plated pieces. These are earrings made to last. FIT & CONSTRUCTION Type: Flat circle stud earrings Metal: 14k gold fill (recycled); high polish finish; hand-finished MATERIALS Metal: 14k gold fill from recycled materials Made: Handmade in small batches in Denver, Colorado; most pieces made to order in Sheena Marshall's own studio. Sustainability: All Sheena Marshall metals are sourced from recycled materials and hand-finished in small batches. The brand is a participant in the Nest Artisan Sustainability Accelerator and a former top performer in the Nest x Madewell Maker Collective. CARE Clean gently with mild soap and water or a polishing cloth. Gold fill is tarnish-resistant but not entirely tarnish-proof -- remove before swimming, showering, exercising, or applying lotions and fragrances. Avoid prolonged exposure to chemicals or moisture. STYLED BY LADDER Wear alone for a clean, minimal look or layer with a slightly larger hoop or second stud to build an easy ear stack -- the flat profile stacks particularly well without adding bulk. ABOUT SHEENA MARSHALL Sheena Marshall is a designer and metalsmith based in Denver, Colorado, who founded her jewelry brand after years of failing to find pieces that were both beautiful and genuinely hypoallergenic -- so she learned to make them herself, starting with less than $100 and a set of metalsmithing classes. Her background spans advertising in New York City and thirteen years teaching elementary school in Colorado, but the through-line has always been making: her father was an engineer who built elaborate school projects with her as a child, her mother painted, her grandfather taught her stained glass. That legacy of craft and intention shapes how every piece leaves her studio. All Sheena Marshall jewelry is handcrafted to order in her Denver studio from recycled metals, in small batches that prioritize quality over volume. It's slow jewelry, made with the same care she brings to everything she creates.
