With our modern Gear Reduction Starter, you can finally stop crossing your fingers and start enjoying the ride. Why Upgrade to our High Torque Starter? Instant Confidence: Spins your motor noticeably faster at startup. Battery Friendly: Draws only half the cranking amps of your old starter, reducing strain on your electrical system. Effortless Installation: Weighing in at about 9 lbs, it’s easier to handle and frees up valuable space in your engine bay. Built to Last: We’ve replaced the two antiquated bushings found in Lucas starters with five precision roller bearings, increasing efficiency and lifespan. Cures "Hot Start" Issues: Our vented aluminum case breathes easily, dissipating heat buildup so you'll never be stranded by a hot engine again. Custom Fit, Zero Modifications: Features a multi-hole mounting plate allowing you to rotate the starter body for the perfect fit. Guaranteed to bolt right up 100% of the time with no permanent mods. Installation Note: Want to keep your original remote solenoid setup? If your old Lucas starter only has one heavy wire connected to it, simply select the "Bypass Wire" from the dropdown menu at checkout. This easy addition allows seamless integration with your factory setup—a choice 99% of our customers make! The BritishStarters.com Promise: As the world’s #1 supplier of High Torque Gear Reduction starters since 2001, we stand by our quality. To get you back on the road faster, we include FREE Priority Shipping on all U.S. and Puerto Rico orders! Installation NOTE: Because of tight clearances, some starter plates may have to be rotated for proper fitment.  This might cause one of the mounting holes to align in front of the starter body.  If this is the case for your application, simply pre-load the bolt into the hole before re-attaching the mounting plate (with some locktite).  Space will be tight, but you will still be able to tighten and secure your starter to the bellhousing.  (Thank you James Z for the photo and the tip).
