Meyer Lemon Tree (FL)

The Improved Meyer Lemon: Sweeter Than Any Lemon You Can Buy The Improved Meyer Lemon is the citrus tree that finally makes "grow your own lemons" realistic — on a patio, a balcony, or a sunny windowsill. A natural cross between a true lemon and a mandarin orange, its fruit is rounder, deep golden-orange, and noticeably sweeter and less acidic than the harsh lemons on grocery shelves. The skin is thin, smooth, and intensely fragrant, so the whole fruit — zest and all — earns a place in everything from lemonade and vinaigrettes to roast chicken and lemon bars. Why You'll Love the Improved Meyer Lemon Sweeter, more usable fruit. Lower acidity and an aromatic, edible peel give it a flavor chefs prize and grocery lemons can't match. Built for containers and small spaces. Naturally compact and slow to outgrow a pot — ideal for balconies, patios, and bright interior rooms. "Improved" means disease-free. This is the certified virus-free selection that replaced the original Meyer — hardier and more productive, free of the Citrus Tristeza Virus that once threatened the variety. Fragrant, repeat blooms. Clusters of white, purple-tinged blossoms perfume the air in spring and fall, and a healthy plant often flowers and fruits at once. Productive young. Unlike most fruit trees, a well-grown Meyer can set fruit while still small — rewarding growers in the first season or two. Evergreen, glossy, and ornamental even between harvests, the Improved Meyer Lemon brings color, scent, and homegrown flavor to a footprint almost any space can accommodate — planted outdoors in warm regions, or in a container that summers on the patio and overwinters indoors where it's cold. Please note: This tree ships in a citra pot—a tall, narrow container that promotes vertical root growth and prevents root circling.
