Meyer Lemon Syrup

Meyer lemons are like regular lemons that finally went to therapy — softer, sweeter, more aromatic, with a hint of orange-blossom that makes them taste like a cross between a lemon and a tangerine. We mixed Meyer lemon puree with classic lemon puree so you get the bright lemon punch you actually want from a lemon syrup, plus that softer, fragrant Meyer character on top. It's the syrup behind a serious lemon drop martini, a homemade lemonade that doesn't taste like sugar water, a herbal tea pick-me-up with real lemon depth, and a lemon spritz that disappears at the first sip. Splash it into bourbon and ice for a quick whiskey sour. Mix with sparkling water and you've got a craft lemonade that beats anything in a 12-pack at the store. Tasting Notes: bright lemon, soft Meyer aroma, gentle floral edge, clean citrus finish The Short Version: A real-citrus lemon syrup blending Meyer lemon and classic lemon purees — softer, more aromatic, and more drinkable than standard lemon syrup, with the brightness intact. A: Our syrups are shelf-stable for 24 months unopened. Once opened, refrigerate and enjoy within 6 months. Q: What's the difference between Meyer Lemon and regular lemon syrup? A: Meyer lemons are a hybrid between a regular lemon and a mandarin orange — softer, sweeter, slightly less acidic, and noticeably more aromatic than the standard supermarket lemon. Most people describe them as "lemon, but more elegant." Our Meyer Lemon Syrup blends Meyer lemon puree with classic lemon puree so you still get the bright, sour-forward lemon punch, just rounded out with that softer, fragrant Meyer character. If you've only had standard lemon syrup before, this one reads as more complex and easier to drink straight. Q: Can I use Meyer Lemon syrup as a substitute for fresh lemon juice? A: For sweetened drinks (lemonade, cocktails, sodas), yes — and it saves you the squeezing step since the sugar is already built in. For unsweetened applications like salad dressings or savory cooking, fresh lemon juice still wins because you don't want the sugar. Use the syrup for drinks; use fresh lemons for cooking.
