Metron Diluent

Metron Diluent (p/n K-0003-1) provides the dilution liquid necessary to measure butterfat in milk using the OL-7000 light absorption photometer. In addition to basic dilution, the diluent acts to remove milk proteins which would otherwise skew the butterfat measurement.  The diluent solution is prepared with: Air free, chemical free, clean, pH neutral water Diluent mix  It must be prepared properly to achieve testing accuracy and precision. Start with hot water to ensure minimal entrained air. Testing is done with diluent solution at room temperature, thus it must be prepared 12 hours in advance to allow time for it to cool to room temperature.   Quantity per Box: 24 x 500 ml
