Metal X

ShowShine Metal X – Iron & Contaminant Remover ShowShine Metal X is a professional-strength iron fallout and brake dust remover designed to safely dissolve embedded metallic contamination from a vehicle’s surface. Engineered with advanced decontamination chemistry, Metal X reacts with ferrous particles on contact, breaking them down at the source and restoring a clean, smooth surface ready for polishing or protection. As it works, Metal X chemically targets iron deposits, brake dust, and industrial fallout that traditional washing cannot remove, making it an essential step in any full detail or paint correction process. Important Pre-Cleaning Step Before using Metal X, heavily soiled vehicles must be thoroughly washed to remove loose dirt, grime, and debris. Use ShowShine Power Soap and/or ShowShine Rinseless Wash to properly clean the surface first. Metal X should always be applied to a pre-cleaned surface to ensure safe and effective contamination removal. Perfect For • Brake dust removal from wheels • Iron fallout removal from paintwork • Surface decontamination before polishing or ceramic coating • Removing embedded contamination from clear coat • Cleaning neglected or heavily driven vehicles • Prep step for clay bar or machine polishing How To Use Standard Application: Ensure surface is pre-washed and free of loose dirt and debris. Make sure the surface is cool and out of direct sunlight. Spray Metal X evenly onto the affected area. Allow product to dwell as it reacts and turns purple, indicating iron removal. Lightly agitate if needed for heavy buildup using a soft brush or wash mitt. Rinse thoroughly with water until all residue is removed. Repeat if necessary for heavily contaminated surfaces. Clay Bar / Clay Towel Method: Pre-wash the vehicle using Power Soap and/or Rinseless Wash to remove all loose dirt. Lightly mist Metal X onto the panel. Lightly mist Metal X onto the clay bar or clay towel as lubrication. Work the clay bar or towel in straight back-and-forth motions with light pressure. Re-lubricate as needed to avoid friction or marring. Rinse or wipe the panel clean after decontamination. Important Notes • Do not allow product to dry on the surface • Always use on a cool surface out of direct sunlight • Rinse thoroughly after use • Use proper pre-wash before application on all vehicles • Work gently when using clay media to avoid marring Key Benefits • Chemically dissolves embedded iron contamination • Helps restore smooth, clean paint and wheel surfaces • Improves bonding for waxes, sealants, and ceramic coatings • Reduces risk of scratches during polishing and correction • Safe for paint, clear coat, and factory wheels when used correctly Deep Clean. Decontaminate. Restore Surface Clarity.
