Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ 1x12 Combo Amplifier

The Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ embodies authentic vintage Boogie heritage, drawing directly from the original Mark II (now known as the Mark II-A) design. As the first amplifier to introduce “Dual Mode” functionality, it offers distinct performance modes for both clean and overdrive tones. This third-generation model refines the pioneering single channel/dual mode configuration developed over nearly five years, marking the final evolution before the introduction of the MARK III, which expanded to three modes. It remains a definitive piece for players seeking classic Mesa Boogie tone and engineering excellence. The Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ features a streamlined single-row control layout shared between its two preamp modes: Rhythm (clean) and Lead (overdrive). Each mode benefits from independent yet interactive gain and volume controls, allowing precise optimization of their respective gain structures. Shared Tone controls provide broad voicing adjustments, while PULL SHIFT functions—some mode-specific—enable nuanced sound shaping. Additionally, the built-in 5-Band Graphic EQ offers wide “Q” settings around each center frequency, delivering surprisingly precise and musical tonal sculpting to perfect your sound with ease. The Rear Panel of the Mark IIC+ retains essential features that maintain its relevance four decades after debut. Centralized global PRESENCE and REVERB controls allow quick access from the Front during live performances. A buffered, series Effects Loop ensures seamless integration with time-based effects. The Power Select switch offers a choice between full 75-watt “SIMUL-CLASS” mode for maximum headroom and tonal depth, or 25-watt “CLASS A” mode for reduced power with smoother, softer power clipping at lower volumes. Multiple speaker outputs—one at 8 Ohms and two at 4 Ohms—provide flexible cabinet matching. Additionally, a SLAVE output taps the speaker outputs to deliver a full amp signal—including preamp and power stages—ideal for IR capture or external processing, though it’s not a compensated Direct Output for consoles or interfaces. Out of production for four decades, we welcome back this icon and celebrate its impact on the incredible guitar heroes and timeless recordings they made during one of rock guitar’s biggest decades. The Mark IIC+ legacy is one we don’t take lightly or for granted, and recreating it in today’s world with today’s available components and rigorous worldwide Compliance Regulations was no easy feat. However, we are just as proud and excited about this iteration as we were about the first one that was produced for less than two years, four decades ago. If you seek to own a legend, don’t want to chase vintage relics in who knows what condition, want the fieriest, most articulate, and nuanced Tone possible, don’t really need the galaxy-wide versatility of our Mark VII, and prefer a more classic layout and look, the Mark IIC+ is waiting. Be warned, though, once you play a C+, you may never feel the same about other guitar amplifiers. A bold statement, to be sure, but it’s backed up by 40 years of iconic Tone and the passionate faithful who’ve made it mythical.
