There is nothing cuter than a Halloween crochet pattern with a black cat and little mouse getting into mischief. The Merlin and Arthur crochet pattern is the perfect crochet accent to decorate your home for Halloween. The history behind black cats is that they have the ability to remain unseen in dark places or at night, making them especially desirable crochet partners for witches. Some witches were purported to have the ability to shape-shift into a cat nine times, hence the archaic belief that cats have "nine lives". Think of how fun it will be to make your own hiding black cat decoration from a crochet pattern. The difference is that Merlin is sweet and fun, and there is nothing scary about him. The Merlin and Arthur crochet pattern decoration is a quick and easy crochet pattern to make for your home. Arthur the mouse and Merlin the cat use 2 strands of worsted weight yarn and a big hook, so there are less crochet stitches needed to create these cute animals. The pumpkin works up even faster than the cute animals by using 3 strands of worsted weight yarn and an even bigger hook. Multiple strands of yarn will help you finish this project in no time. Even though Merlin is hiding in his pumpkin, both Merlin and Arthur are waiting for you to take them home. Get this crochet pattern in time so your creation is ready to display during Halloween festivities.
