Irish Cable Turtleneck Knit Pullover for Women

If you're searching for a luxurious Aran knit sweater, you've come to the right place! Our Women's Irish Cable Turtleneck Sweater continues the age-old Irish knitting traditions (all with a modern twist), bringing a tribute to the timeless jumpers worn by locals of the Aran Islands. It features classic Aran cable, moss, and other complex Irish geometric patterns, originally knit to provide an extra layer of warmth. At the same time, the stitches were designed to resemble various parts of the community's life. For example, the cable stitch mirrors the ropes used by the fishermen, and the moss portrays the verdant moss seen on Ireland's cliffs and shores. These stitches were believed to bring a blessing of good luck and protection for the wearer. Finely made of 100% Merino wool and hand-finished in Ireland, this cable sweater is as soft as a cloud - you can safely wear it with or without any other layering pieces. Merino yarns are naturally breathable and moisture-wicking, keeping you at the ideal temperature and dry no matter the weather conditions. It's also durable and treated with modern anti-shrink technology, so you'll have it for many years to come, even for decades! It features reinforced ribbed cuffs, hem, and turtleneck for a toasty, snug fit, we bet you'll love when temperatures start to fall.
