SuperSoft Merino Wool Aran Cape with Buttons

Some pieces bring warmth, style, and tradition together effortlessly - just like our Supersoft Merino Wool Aran Cape. Inspired by the classic Aran fisherman sweaters, this cape features the same iconic Irish knitting techniques that have been passed down for generations. This design showcases cable and moss stitches, both deeply rooted in Irish heritage. The cable stitch, resembling the fishermen's ropes, was believed to bring luck and protection. The moss stitch, inspired by Ireland's lush, mossy cliffs, symbolizes abundance and the rich natural beauty of the land. While today we admire these patterns for their textured, sophisticated look, they were originally crafted to provide warmth and breathability, protecting fishermen from the harsh Atlantic weather. Made from 100% Supersoft Merino wool, this cape is an even softer version of classic Merino, offering a gentle, luxurious feel against the skin. It's also heat-insulating, moisture-wicking, and incredibly durable, keeping you cozy and comfortable in chilly weather. With a crew collar, an elegant asymmetric buttoned opening, and a sleeveless cut for effortless movement, this cape is the perfect layering piece. Throw it over a crisp blouse or a cozy sweater for an effortlessly chic, timeless look. Crafted in Ireland by skilled artisans, this cape is a beautiful celebration of Irish craftsmanship and fashion. Explore our full Aran collection to find more heritage-inspired styles!
