This slower pace makes them ideal for beginners learning new moves and for fitness hooping. The added weight engages your core during waist hooping and builds momentum once the hoop is spinning, making it easier to maintain your rhythm. Many hoopers find the slower rotation meditative, allowing them to settle into a routine, enjoy simpler moves, and focus on strength and control. A 39″ OD Beginner Hoop weighs about 1 lb, while a 42″ OD Beginner Hoop weighs about 1 lb 3 oz. “OD” means outer diameter, which measures across the widest part of the hoop, including the tubing. #text-1206106743 { color: rgb(0,0,0); } #text-1206106743 > * { color: rgb(0,0,0); }
