Mercury Globe - 12-inch

Get to know the planet closest to the sun with this gorgeous 12” desktop globe, created in “enhanced color” to emphasize color differences on the planet’s surface.  Developed by the staff of Astronomy magazine, this globe was produced using images from the Mercury Dual Imaging System aboard the spacecraft MESSENGER. This richly detailed, injection-molded 12” desktop globe shows an astounding 236 planetary features identified and labeled. You’ll find many features you can see on Mercury labeled, including Antoniadi Dorsa, Budh Planitia, Beagle Rupes, Pantheon Fossae, Raphael Crater, and many others. If you’re into astronomy, you simply won’t want to be without this incredible new depiction of Mercury. Each globe is made of long-lasting durable plastic with just a single seam between hemispheres and comes with a clear acrylic display base.
