Mercury Fuel Filter - 8M0090809

Mercury Fuel Filter - 8M0090809 This fuel filter is an important component for maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of your Mercury outboard or MerCruiser engine's fuel system. Fuel filters are responsible for trapping contaminants in the fuel before they reach the engine, ensuring that the engine runs smoothly and is protected from potential damage caused by dirt, rust, or other impurities in the fuel. Replacing the fuel filter on an outboard motor is crucial because it prevents contaminants like dirt and debris from entering the engine, which can significantly damage sensitive internal components, leading to poor performance, reduced fuel efficiency, and potential engine failure if left unchecked.
