Crushed Ruby Men's Wedding Band in Black Tungsten Carbide (8mm)

This crushed ruby men's wedding band runs an off-center channel of lab-created crushed ruby through an 8mm black tungsten carbide band with a striking half-brushed, half-polished exterior — deep red like a vein of living fire against matte black, with a mirrored edge catching light along the opposite side. The asymmetric composition gives the ring a modern, almost architectural feel. Because each inlay is hand-set, no two rings share the same ruby pattern. Lab-created crushed ruby Off-center channel Half-brushed, half-polished Black tungsten carbide 8mm comfort fit One-of-a-kind inlay The inlay: crushed ruby, modern placement The channel is hand-set with lab-created crushed ruby — the same corundum composition as mined ruby, grown in controlled conditions and crushed into a textured mosaic of raw crystal fragments, then sealed in a protective resin channel that preserves color and sparkle. The off-center placement breaks from classic center-set bands for an unconventional, architectural composition. Because each inlay is hand-set, no two rings share the same pattern. Drawn to red stones? Our red engagement rings guide explores the color's meaning and options. Why lab-created ruby Lab-created ruby is chemically and optically identical to mined ruby — same hardness (9 on the Mohs scale, one of the hardest gemstones after diamond), same color, same brilliance — grown ethically without the environmental impact or sourcing concerns of mined stones, and with more vivid, consistent color than most natural ruby at this price point. Ruby is also the July birthstone and the traditional 15th and 40th anniversary stone. Two-tone black tungsten carbide The 8mm flat band splits its finish down the middle: one half brushed matte black that resists fingerprints, one half polished mirror black that reflects like obsidian glass — with the ruby channel running along the seam between them. The black is bonded into the tungsten itself, not painted or plated, so it won't fade, flake, or wear to silver underneath. Curious what a black band symbolizes? See black wedding band meaning. Built for daily wear Tungsten carbide is one of the hardest metals used in jewelry — about four times harder than titanium, five times harder than steel, and ten times harder than gold. It won't bend, scratch from keys or tools, or lose its shape, and it's hypoallergenic and nickel-safe. Curious how it holds up? Read do tungsten rings scratch? and titanium vs tungsten rings. Crushed ruby band FAQs Is the ruby real? The inlay is lab-created ruby — chemically and optically identical to mined ruby, with the same corundum composition, the same 9 Mohs hardness, and the same rich red color, grown ethically in controlled conditions. It's genuine ruby material; the only difference is where it grew. What does the off-center channel look like?Instead of running down the middle, the crushed ruby channel sits deliberately off to one side, along the seam between the brushed and polished halves — an architectural, asymmetric composition that reads different from every angle. What is the two-tone finish? One half of the band is brushed matte black (fingerprint-resistant, understated), the other half is polished mirror black (reflective like obsidian glass). The contrast gives the band depth even before the ruby catches your eye. Will every ring look the same?No two are identical. Each crushed ruby inlay is hand-set before the resin seals, so yours will share the same fire as our photos with its own one-of-a-kind crystal pattern. Will the black color wear off?No. The black is bonded into the tungsten carbide itself, not painted or plated on top, so it won't fade, flake, or wear through to silver underneath like cheaper black-coated rings. Is tungsten carbide scratch-resistant?Yes — tungsten carbide is one of the hardest metals used in jewelry and is significantly more scratch-resistant than gold, silver, or titanium, making it ideal for everyday wear. Is the inlay durable enough for daily wear?Yes — ruby itself is one of the hardest gemstones after diamond, and the crushed fragments are sealed in a protective resin channel set flush with the band. As with any inlay ring, avoid hard direct impacts to keep it flawless. Will tungsten turn my finger green? No. Tungsten carbide is hypoallergenic and nickel-safe, and won't react with skin, sweat, or lotions. Skin discoloration comes from low-quality or fake metals — never genuine tungsten carbide. Is this a good July birthstone or anniversary ring?Yes — ruby is the July birthstone and the traditional stone for 15th and 40th anniversaries, making this band a meaningful pick beyond weddings. How do I find the right ring size?We recommend getting professionally sized at a local jeweler before ordering — it takes just a few minutes, and our team is happy to help you find your correct size. This band fits true to size. Can I wear it in water?Everyday water exposure and hand-washing are fine thanks to the sealed inlay. We recommend removing it for chlorinated pools and harsh chemicals to keep the ruby's fire vivid. Does this come with a gift box and free shipping?Yes — every Aquamarise ring arrives in a free luxury velvet jewelry box, and this band ships free within the USA.
