The Armitage Ave. Derby No. 8370 | Golf Shoes

There’s a difference between wearing golf shoes and wearing the right golf shoes. The Armitage Ave. Derby No. 8370 from Robert August sits firmly in the latter category—built for golfers who refuse to compromise between performance and craftsmanship. Constructed entirely from Black Nailhead Wool across the vamp, quarter, and back, the No. 8370 carries a texture that’s immediately distinct. Nailhead wool has long been a staple of refined tailoring—its subtle geometric weave adds depth and visual interest without demanding attention. On a golf shoe, it’s unexpected. And that’s exactly the point. Beneath the surface, the attention to detail continues. Black calf leather lining provides a smooth, breathable interior that molds to the foot over time, offering a fit that improves with wear. Round black laces complete the silhouette cleanly, keeping the overall aesthetic sharp and consistent from heel to toe. On the course, the No. 8370 earns its place. The Softspikes® cleat sole delivers the grip and stability needed through every swing—firm footing on the fairway, reliable traction on uneven terrain. These aren’t decorative shoes that happen to end up on a golf course. They’re built to perform in the conditions that matter. What sets Robert August apart is what happens before the shoe ever reaches you: each pair is handcrafted in Spain by skilled artisans who bring decades of shoemaking tradition to every stitch. That process isn’t a marketing detail—it’s the reason these shoes feel and wear the way they do. And if the standard design isn’t quite right, Robert August offers full customization. Swap materials, adjust colors, or tailor the construction to suit your preferences. The No. 8370 is a starting point, not a ceiling. For golfers who take both their game and their wardrobe seriously, the Armitage Ave. Derby No. 8370 delivers on both fronts—without having to choose between them.
