A zero-drop platform, a generously roomy toebox and the perfect amount of cushioning all come together in a way that makes the Torin 9 truly unique. New P35X™ dual-density midsole foam delivers a smooth, balanced ride with real protection underfoot, while a brand-new Vibram® outsole built specifically for pavement adds dependable grip whether you're heading out for an easy jog or a longer training run. Details: Upper: A refined upper with an updated ankle and heel construction feels softer and more secure than previous versions. Altra's Standard FootShape™ fit — the middle option between the roomier Original and narrower Slim — gives your toes room to spread naturally, working in tandem with the zero-drop platform to promote balance and a more natural stride. Midsole: P35X™ dual-density foam delivers a firm-yet-responsive ride while the zero-drop platform encourages a natural foot strike and that classic grounded Altra feel. Outsole: A new Vibram® rubber outsole specifically engineered for road and concrete surfaces delivers reliable grip and durable traction — a meaningful upgrade for runners who log serious daily mileage on pavement.
